About Shelagh
Shelagh Rose (McCahey) Simone is a founding partner of Simone & Simone LLP. Prior to co-founding her firm, Shelagh worked several years for a well-known Rhode Island lawyer and lobbyist. Shelagh handled a broad spectrum of legal matters for many notable clients. She has tried cases in virtually all of Rhode Island’s courts, and in Massachusetts. Shelagh focuses her practice on workers’ compensation and personal injury.
Shelagh is a life-long resident of her native Rhode Island. Shelagh graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a degree in Political Science. During that time, Shelagh served as a legislative intern for a United States Senator. She also served an internship at the Rhode Island Department of Attorney General. Shelagh received her Juris Doctor from Roger Williams University School of Law. During law school, Shelagh was accepted to the Rhode Island Supreme Court Law Clerk program, and was a legal clerk to several judges of the Rhode Island Superior Court. Shelagh joined Goldberg Law Offices in Pawtucket as an associate attorney, and worked there for several years. During that time, Shelagh worked on several complex cases in the Superior and Workers’ Compensation court.
Shelagh serves on the Board of Governors for the Rhode Island Association for Justice, formerly called the Rhode Island Trial Lawyers Association. Shelagh’s clients are fiercely loyal, and she has a reputation for having her clients’ complete confidence and trust. After years of experience litigating a wide variety of cases, Shelagh started this firm with the mission of dedicating a practice to those injured at work, people hurt in car wrecks and other injury cases, with a focus on getting her clients the full and fair compensation they deserve, and not a penny less.
